Howdy! New user today. The only capable IOS device I have at the moment is a iPhone 6 and it was reading 2-5 cents off while tuning compared to Tunelab and RCT. When I arrived home I calibrated the max amount of 2 cents to get it to "hear" 440 tone correctly. Not complaining, just information, assume it's the old device.

Mike Mc Thank you for the feedback. This is very unusual. I have never encountered a calibration issue like this. Do I understand you correctly that Tunelab and RCT on the same iPhone 6 are giving you correct measurements but pianoscope is by default off by 6 cents?

Hi! Sorry, guess that was confusing! 3 seperate devices! Tunelab on Android and a old version of RCT on a PocketPC. I will wrangle up a newer device and I'm confident it will be fine.

Mike Mc Thank you for the clarification. In principle, I can extend the calibration range in a future version to cover the 6 cents you encountered. Usually, newer iOS devices don't need calibration at all. The worst calibration need I encountered was about 0.4 Cents on an older iPad. As a workaround you can also adjust the concert pitch to account for the offset.

I wouldn't sweat old devices too much. Maybe a blurb about calibration in the manual to check it if using an older device.

After your experience with a severely off device, I could mention that there might be a few bad devices out there.

Hello. I have this experience with Android devices: each shows a different pitch of concert A - using the same software. If other software is used the difference is even greater.
On iOS - any version, I did not encounter a different setting A - when using different devices and different software. I tried TuneLab, Veritune, Poanoscope, PiaTune
The problem is in most cases on Android and Pocket PC

As a follow up, I did purchase a iPhone 8 running 16.7.5 and the calibration was dead on.

Hi Frank,
I may have found the problem. If I measure the concert A in some tuning file in the frequency setting, then in the tuning mode it shows that this A is low - by about 0.4 cents. Tested on iP11 and SE2016
