I’ve been watching them too, and he now has like 5 live YouTube videos where he plays around and tunes with Pianoscope. I’ve been using Pianoscope for more than a year and it’s interesting to watch. He’s been comparing the temperament to his own and it’s been spot on. By tuning the temperament octave first, then tuning up from there with aural checks (bass last) it has sped up my tuning process.
Like myself, he prefers the Pure Octave style for most of the piano but in the 5th octave has been switching to Pure 12th. It stretches it in those higher octaves to where he would normally put it.
In one of the latest videos he’s been messing around with Tuning Curve section. It would be great to see a video, Frank, further exploring the Deviation Curves and how to pick tuning styles or customize them to fit a piano I just measured.
