OldMike Somewhere on some discussion forum somebody said he had discovered a Pianoscope tuning style that made spinets sound wonderful. Can’t remember who, what, or where. Anybody here recollect seeing this or know the details?
Frank Illenberger I'd say, try the default style with the new pianoscope 3. I trained the AI for v3 with a couple of spinet master tunings. This should give you a decent tuning in the bass.
navindra Frank Illenberger I trained the AI for v3 with a couple of spinet master tunings. Very interesting indeed. Do you have any blog posts or additional details on how you implemented the AI?
Frank Illenberger Kris Yes, I meant the Balanced style. It is a good compromise between pure octaves and pure twelfths.
Frank Illenberger navindra I don't plan on publishing any details on my tuning curve algorithms as I consider them a trade secret.
navindra Frank Illenberger but from what you revealed already, it seems you are collaborating with a master tuner? (Unless you are the master tuner.) That's pretty awesome if so. A promotional type video not revealing any secrets but demonstrating the impact of AI here would be pretty cool.
Frank Illenberger navindra Yes, I've been using master tunings from Nathan Mills and Milan Debelka to train the AI. I might make some YouTube videos in the future showing the properties of the new AI-based tunings.
