Nostalgic moments of a piano builder...
A very dear older lady, whose harpsichord I repair, gave me her old Korg Chromatic-tuner WT-12.
Exactly this model was my first electronic device that I bought in 1979 in my first year of apprenticeship.
That had cost more at the time than I earned in a month. I was the king among apprentices at that time.
Original packaging, with all accessories and operating instructions. Even the small earbud is included.
The batteries had leaked and I was already afraid that it would never work again.
But after a few hours I had the contacts clean again, a cable had to be re-soldered....
And now it’s like new. With all the bells and whistles we are used to today, this device is absolutely primitive.... and yet, you can’t even imagine how happy I am about it.
