Multi Microphones

Does pianoscope recognize 2 or more external Usb microphones in addition to the 4 internal microphones on the iphone 16 pro for example?
(making it 6 microphones altogether, or 5 if you count the ext. stereo mic as one)

I would like to make use of my 2 microphones that are mounted in my grandpiano, connected to Tascam Portacapture X6, which can be used as external microphone via Usb C

Joerg Unfortunately, iOS currently does only support to record from one audio interface at a time. So if you have an external multi-channel USB audio interface, you can record from multiple microphones. But if you have separate USB microphones, each having its own audio interface, you are out of luck. Pianoscope supports analyzing multiple channels from an external USB audio interface.

Joerg This would be great, but unfortunately iOS does not allow this either.

Joerg I have hope that Apple will at some point offer this feature in iOS, as the underlying CoreAudio framework is identical on iOS and macOS. So it does not seem to be a technical problem but rather a business decision from Apple.
