I've just released version 3.3.2 to the AppStore. You can update your copy in the AppStore app.
It addresses a couple of nasty bugs:

Under iOS 26, the back button of the tuning curve panel could be cut off.
Long-pressing the back button in the tuning curve panel made the button disappear.
Under iOS 26, selecting keys on the on-screen keyboard did not always work correctly when tapping near the iOS home indicator.
For bass notes, the attack detection sometimes sometimes worked badly.
When pitch-raising, the pitch indicator or strobe could sometimes freeze when repeatedly striking the same note.

My iPhone 8 only has updates to iOS 16. Does this affect how Pianoscope works. Do I need a new iPhone to run Pianoscope properly?

OldMike Pianoscope runs fine on all devices which can run iOS / iPadOS 15 or later.
A few features however are only available on iOS 16 or iOS 17 and later:

The centered toolbar icons on iPad only work on iPad OS 16+ and the live charts and temperament charts require iOS / iPad OS 17 or later.

The online manual says at least iOS 15 but it may be out of date.
