Showing main pitch when loading an older tuning.

I tuned a few other pianos and am really enjoying the app. One thing I would like is that when I load a tuning that I did in the past, that the app reminds me if I was not at 440. The main pitch only shows in the instrument menu or when you lay A4. I hope I am explaining correctly. Thanks

Hello Jean, you can display the pitch and other data in the header of the voice view.

Jean, yes you can already configure pianoscope to show additional information like the concert pitch or the chosen tuning style and temperament in the header region of the tuning view. Checkout the header section of the pianoscope manual on how to activate this.

Would it be possible to show the pitch in the header in red or some other colour if it wasn’t the default.

Rick Sure, this would be possible. But what is the default? Is it 440Hz for everybody? Would this feature need to be configurable, as a red signal color would draw much attention which not everybody likes?

The default is one’s concert pitch as shown in the create piano “Make default”. Several times I have been caught out using a higher pitch when tuning the same piano again because the piano was a bit sharp in the summer. Another tuning app that I have used asks if you want to “use saved pitch…” if it is not your default.
Just a thought. I need to be more vigilant!

Rick In TestFlight build 785, I have implemented your idea. As I am a bit reluctant to sprinkle the red signal color all over the place, I have used a bold font to indicate a non-default concert pitch in the header. The red color is usually reserved to indicate interactive controls. Please check if this kind of indication is noticeable enough for you.
