Is there a way to do a search for data within the tuning files, rather than just the title?
If I want to know if I've tuned a particular piano before, I was hoping to be able to search by serial number, manufacturer, model, etc. My understanding is the search function is only for title?

What kind of naming conventions does everyone use?

I have been experimenting with document search for quite a while and as you asked for it, I have just landed my basic implementation: In the most recent pianoscope build 928 you can now perform searches for the content of tuning documents from the iOS home and lock screens. You can search for keywords in the name, manufacturer, model, serial number and notes. Unfortunately, this kind of search does not work in the Files.app or the document browser in pianoscope as this is currently a limitation of iOS.

This is interesting...I'm having mixed results when testing this. I'm trying to search by entering a serial number into the new search box on the bottom of the iOS home screen and it has worked maybe 2 out of 20 times. I'm using an iPhone XS Max running 16.0.2.

Stefan Borowicz Thanks for testing. I've seen this problem too with serial numbers. Words seem to be found better than numbers. Let me tinker with this a bit.

I wish I had better news to report, but not noticing much difference in build 929 :-(

Stefan Borowicz Thank you for testing it. Unfortunately, the spotlight search feature of iOS does not work as advertised. I think, I will have to implement a custom search feature in a future version of pianoscope.

I don’t use the Manufacturer, Model or Serial number in the Instrument section.
I put for example my own piano in the file name:
Ohlendorf Bech 9 135693
There is plenty of room for this and all is searchable.
